🧭 Overview
EventBatcher is a local desktop application for recording and analyzing your work activity on Windows, macOS and Linux.
The application records changes between applications and windows as well as active and idle time. It turns this activity into clear insights and reports that help you understand how your workday was actually spent.
- Track work activity across applications and windows
- Analyze working time, idle time and business hours
- Compare days, weeks, months and custom periods
- Automatically create structured work reports
- Optionally generate AI-assisted summaries
- Automatically send reports by email
- Exclude unwanted applications and windows from recording
- Keep activity data and reports stored locally
EventBatcher works without screenshots, keylogging, audio or camera recording and does not read document contents. Instead, it records activity metadata such as application, window title, time and active/idle status.
Ideal for work-time analysis, activity records, work journals, client reports and reviewing how previous workdays were spent.

- Timeline – review activities in chronological order
- Applications – compare usage time across applications
- Windows – inspect individual windows within an application in more detail
- Active / Idle – distinguish active working periods from idle time

- System Usage – view CPU, memory and disk utilization over time
- History – search and open previous days, export activity and update reports
🤖 AI & Automatic Reports
EventBatcher creates local deterministic work reports and can optionally complement them with AI-generated summaries.
For AI analysis, you can choose whether to include the full day, business hours only, or both. Custom instructions, provider settings and cost parameters can be configured and tested before automatic use.
Completed reports can then be sent automatically through your own SMTP account:
- Daily – report for the previous calendar day
- Weekly – summary of the previous week
- Monthly – summary of the previous calendar month
- Format – email body, PDF attachment or both
- Recipients – configure To, CC and BCC individually
- Fallback – use the regular generated report when no AI summary is available
🔒 Privacy & Local Data
EventBatcher focuses on activity metadata and deliberately avoids extensive screen or content capture.
- No screenshots
- No keylogging
- No clipboard contents
- No audio, camera or video recording
- No file or document contents
- Local storage of activity history
